The 341 pages remain in excellent condition with one neat ownership inscription to endpaper otherwise clean and fresh throughout. Binding is square and tight with no blemishes or fading to boards. Housed in the distinctive dustwrapper which has very slight wear to edges and still retains publishers original printed price of $3.95 to the top of the front inside panel. The dustwrapper is designed by Robert J. Lee and depicts an excellent African jungle scene to the front which remains vivid and bright. Back inside flap has closed tear that has been repaired with tape but due to position this remains discreet and not visible when book is closed. This is the Second Printing published in the same year as the First Edition and a scarce title to obtain in the William Morrow format. An attractive example of this great book about Africa.
