Red cloth binding with titles in gilt and silver; reproduction signature of Faulkner on the front cover. Clean text; 371 pages. The paste-downs both have evidence of some sort of label removal else a Fine copy. This copy has the mis-print on page 327 but the endpapers are white; perhaps a transitional state. The dustjacket has been clipped but has "5/57" on the bottom of the front flap. Very light edgewear with a little wrinkling at the head of the spine. Although in the red-orange binding with black lettering green topstain and white endpapers of the "corrected" second state the misprint on page 327 remains. Quercus speculates that either this is "transitional" or human error is in play here. The dustjacket is unclipped and definitely the second state. Light soiling showing a bit of edgewear with two tiny closed tears a wrinkle and a 1/4" deep chip at the top of the spine which is just starting to tan. Witrhal a nice copy of one of the major works of literature in the XXth century. In an archival plastic protector. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good.
