Compiled by William Zeitlin, a Russian scholar and bibliographer; born at Homel, government of Moghilef, about the middle of the nineteenth century. He is known especially as the author of ? Iryat Sefer, or Bibliotheca Hebraica Post-Mendelssohniana (Leipsic, 1891-95) , a bibliographical dictionary of modern Hebrew literature from the beginning of Mendelssohn's epoch until 1890. The compilation of this work occupied Zeitlin for twenty years. He made extensive use of Benjacob's O? Ar ha-Sefarim and of Fürst's Bibliotheca Judaica, and visited Wilna and Warsaw, the centers of the Hebrew book market, as well as many university citiesas Königsberg, Berlin, Geneva, and Parisfrom the libraries of which he gathered additional material for his work. The ? Iryat Sefer indexes not only works in book form, but also important periodical articles, biographical sketches, and scientific essays, in addition to giving biographical notes on several authors. Zeitlin had previously prepared an index of works written on the Jewish calendar, in which he enumerates seventy-seven Hebrew works; this index was published by ? Ayyim Jonah Gurland in Yevreiski Kalendar (St. Petersburg, 1882) . In the Zeit. Für Hebr. Bibl. " 2nd Edition of the ZAVNOH report from the famous assembly which includes a full-page photograph of Vladimir Nazor after the title page, and 25 plates of photographs of ZAVNOH leaders at the Third Session. "The State Anti-fascist Council for the National Liberation of Croatia (Serbo-Croatian: Zemaljsko antifaisticko vijece narodnog oslobodenja Hrvatske) , often referred to by the acronym ZAVNOH, was the highest governing organ of the anti-fascist movement in Croatia during World War II. It was developed to be the bearer of Croatian statehood (and was the body which would eventually become the Croatian Parliament just months after this publication) The third session occurred on May 8 and May 9, 1944 in Topusko, and was sometimes referred to as the Sabor u Topuskom (Assembly in Topusko) . Chaim Zhitlowsky (1865 - 1943) was a Jewish socialist, philosopher, social and political thinker, writer and literary critic born in the Russian Empire (present-day Belarus) . He was a founding member of the Union of Russian Socialist Revolutionaries and was later, a founding member and ideologue of the Socialist Revolutionary Party in Russia. He was a major proponent of Yiddishism and Jewish Diaspora nationalism, which later influenced the Jewish territorialist and nationalist movements. He was an advocate of Yiddish language and culture and was a vice-president of the Czernowitz Yiddish Language Conference of 1908, which declared Yiddish to be "a national language of the Jewish people. In the present treatise, Zhitlowsky argues for a rejection of Jewish assimilation and an embrace of a progressive, Jewish national culture (Wiki, 2016) . SUBJECTS: Jewish Socialists Bund Narodnik.
