He was the Melbourne Herald's art and drama critic when he wrote this anecdotal booklet to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Art Society of Victoria. Charles Nuttall Frederick McCubbin Percy Lindsay Ruby Lind Walter Withers are some of the artists who have illustrated this work.
