Sheep Moors and Sea
New York: Vantage Press. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket. 1967. First Edition. Hardcover. Nantucket Island around the turn of the century one of the last strongholds of the old New England "quaintness " comes radiantly alive in this charming personal reminiscence. Told in an engaging narrative style the early ears of Jennie Randall daughter of the "city" country doctor of the Ialand are re-created so simply that the reader is whisked back to a gracious friendly unhurried way of life all but forgotten in the hurly-burly of the precarious present. Binding has a slight bump on one corner. The jacket is rubbed on the back and has a bit of foxing on the inside which does not show on the outside. There are small wrinkles at the top and bottom of the spine which is also lightly rubbed. ; 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall . Vantage Press hardcover

Williams, Selma R.
Divine Rebel : The Life of Anne Marbury Hutchinson
246 pages including index. Subject clearly emerges as a feminist before her time, a champion of individual liberty, and a significant figure in American history. "In American history Anne Hutchinson is usually written off in a defamatory one-liner as a religious nut or menopausal neurotic. In this sympathetic biography, Selma R. Williams peels off those perjorative labels, returns to original sources for another careful look, and gives us at last Anne Hutchinson's side of the story." - Ann Jones, author of Women Who Kill. Book and dust jacket clean, bright and unmarked with light to negligible wear. Splendid copy. Book
