Ma ciò può risultare utile per un breve "intervallo rigeneratore", non può durare a lungo, sarebbe per noi deleterio per l'enorme impiego di energie necessarie. Ed esaurito l'effetto, le nostre responsabilità, che la vita ci impone, sono lì ad attenderci, magari accresciute nel frattempo. Finita inesorabilmente la passione finisce l'amore. Non inizia l'amore vero se sussistono le condizioni affinché esso possa sempre più crescere. Ciò che distingue l'amore vero è l'entità dello scambio reciproco benefico che esso comporta.
