o.J. Öl, auf Papier. 27,2:22,2 cm. Literatur: Ausst. Katalog: Kunstlandschaft Rhein-Main. Magie des Augenblicks - Skizzen und Studien in Öl, Museum Giersch, Frankfurt am Main 2009, Nr. 97, Abb. S. 212. Auf diesem kleinen Landschaftsausschnitt fixierte Becker die Ansicht einer schroffen, mächtigen Felswand am Hang eines Waldes, der am oberen Bildrand rechts gerade noch auszumachen ist. Links unten schiebt sich diagonal in das Bildfeld ein mit einigen Felsbrocken bedeckter, größtenteils überwachsener Hang. Erkennbar wird, daß Becker der großflächig, nahezu gesamten Malfläche ausfüllenden Felswand besonderes Interesse widmete und damit die Aufmerksamkeit des Betrachters auf die spezifische Struktur und die ausgewogene Farbigkeit des sonnenbeschienenen Felsens lenkt. Der Gegensatz zwischen der dem wuchtigen Gestein entgegenkommenden malerischen Behandlung bei summarisch zusammenfassendem Pinselauftrag und dem dazu sorgfältig-detaillierten Duktus der grasbewachsenen Vordergrundzone ist dabei von besonderem Reiz.
