‎MAZZONE OR THE FAITH OF A GREAT ARTIST‎

‎1st Edition. Original Illustrated Paper Wrappers. 8vo. 24 pages ; 22 cm. Scarce biography of Domenico Mazzone written by Robert Muller on the occasion of Mazzone winning the “Sculptor of the Year” award from the International Beaux Arts Ball in 1978. “Muller (1923 – 2010) was an international civil servant with the United Nations. Assistant Secretary-General for 40 years, and his ideas about world government, world peace and spirituality, led to the increased representation of religions in the UN, especially of New Age Movement. He was known by some as ‘the philosopher of the United Nations. ’” (Wikipedia, 2017) Mazzone was an internationally recognized 20th century sculptor who worked extensively with the United Nations, and taught at the UN School. The biography includes several images of Mazzone’s work and several images of Mazzone sculpting notable UN Officials including: A photo of Mazzone sculpting his well-known bust of UN Secretary General U Thant (With U Thant sitting) , and a photo of Mazzone presenting the bust to Mr. Muller. Very scarce. OCLC lists no copies worldwide. Little wear. Overall in very good condition. Rare. (ITART-1-32) xx‎

‎No marks or inscriptions. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards, slight fading to spine ends and minor bumping to some corners. Very dusty dust jacket not price clipped with rubbing to edges and corners. 63pp. The icons depicted in this work give the reader an introduction to an ancient Church which was virtually cut off from the rest of Christianity for a 1000 years and to a race whose descent is from the ancient Egyptians.‎
