Previous book seller rubber stamp at lower title page. This copy has been inscribed and dated in ink by author Eugene Gruenberg, in what appears to be German, in the year of publication. Gruenberg (1854-1928) was a graduate of the Vienna Conservatory. In 1878 he joined the orchestra of the Leipzig opera and in 1899 moved to Boston to play with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Gruenberg became head of the violin department at the New England Conservatory of Music in 1895, where he remained for the rest of his life. A marvelous copy of this excellent violin and viola reference. Scarce, especially when incribed by the author.‎

A very nice copy of this program from a concert performed in 1961 by the concert band of the Del Mar College School of Music in Corpus Christi, Texas which featured renowned classical saxophonist, Sigurd Rascher as solist performing "Concertino for Alto Saxophone" by Warren Benson and "Introduction and Samba" by Maurice Whitney, both of which were written for Mr. Rascher. A wonderful classical saxophone item in very nice condition. Rare.‎
