Une trace de pliure sur la couverture, ainsi qu'une légère auréole sur le premier feuillet. Cette publication est le fruit d’un programme pluriannuel de recherche en sciences humaines, commission “mise en valeur”. Une étude du quartier qui doit être comprise comme une introduction à la visite, et un guide des “allées” qui rassemble le commentaire détaillé de vingt décors, vitrail. Suivent quelques conseils pour la restauration, une bibliographie, un tableau présentant l’historique des îlots et deux plans du quartier.

Il tutto è contenuto entro una elegante legatura protettiva foderata in tela e che presente al piatto anteriore il piatto originale dell’opera stampato in nero su tela. Prima rara edizione completa di tutte le sue parti di questa importantissima pubblicazione che riproduce la celeberrima collezione di pizzi (Dentelles) antichi conservati presso il “Musée Royaux des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels a Bruxelles”. Questa prima edizione è rarissima mentre la seconda edizione uscita nel 1912, identica a questa edizione, risulta essere molto meno rara. Opera completa di tutte le sue parti. Overloop fu Membro del Consiglio di Amministrazione del Museo Reale di Storia Naturale del Belgio, del Museo Etnografico della sezione Arti Decorative e direttore dei Musei Reali delle Arti Decorative e Industriali. Fu anche l’organizzatore della sezione scientifica dell’Expo di Bruxelles del 1897. Fu uno dei massimi esperti di pizzi antichi del suo tempo. First edition, very rare.

Esemplare completo ed in buone-ottime condizioni di conservazione.

Prima non comune edizione, completa di tutte le tavole, di questo straordinaria testimonianza di una delle più celebri e complete collezioni di pizzi o “Dentelles” al mondo conservata presso il celebre “Musée des Tissus et des Arts décoratifs” a Lyon ideato intorno alla metà dell’Ottocento. Elegante legatura novecentesca in cartoncino grigio muto. Piccola integrazione di carta al margine esterno bianco della prima pagina e nel complesso esemplare in buone-ottime condizioni di conservazione e ancora in barbe. Prima assai rara edizione di questa importante opera del grande medico francese originario di Carcassone Jasn De Combe-Blance Janin. L'autore fu uno degli oculisti più celebri del suo tempo. Studiò a Montpellier ed ad Avignone. Divenne celebre per il primo intervento per l'asportazione di una cataratta fatta a Lione il cui successo fu totale. Si trasferì quindi definitivamente a Lione. Chiamato a Modena dal Duca di Modena risolse un grave problema di "Mephitisme" dei pozzi neri del Palazzo Ducale tanto da ricevere dal Duca il titolo di Medico-oculista ufficiale di Corte. L'opera è la prima mai scritta sull'argomento dell'eliminazione delle esalazioni perniciose dai pozzi neri e la sua uscita suscitò numerosi articoli in tutto il mondo. L'opera descrive molti casi pratici incontrati dall'autore presso palazzi reali, ducali, ville, grandi hotel compresa la sua esperienza al Palazzo Ducale di Modena. Prima edizione assai rara e ancor più rara per la presenza delle 8 pagine di supplemento. First edition rare.
