Da pag. 109 inizia l'opera "Viaggio al Lago Manasarovar situato nell'Undes provincia del Piccolo Tibet fatto nel 1812 dai Signori Moorcroft e Hearsay dal tomo XII delle Asiatic Researches". Interessante descrizione del viaggio iniziato in India e ricordato per la descrizione del assaggio attraverso le montagne del Kurdistan. Molto interessante anche la relazione del viaggio al lago Manasarovar in Tibet. Manca metà dell'ultima carta con elenco delle tavole al primo volume. Collana "Raccolta de' viaggi più interessanti eseguiti nelle varie parti del mondo, tanto per terra quanto per mare, dopo quelli del celebre Cook...".‎

‎Sven Anders Hedin (* 19. Februar 1865 in Stockholm; ? 26. November 1952 in Stockholm) war ein schwedischer Geograph, Entdeckungsreisender und Reiseschriftsteller. Zwischen 1894 und 1908 unternahm er 3 Expeditionen und erforschte und kartierte die noch unerforschten Gebiete von Chinesisch-Turkestan und Tibet und schuf die Grundlagen für eine genaue Karte Zentralasiens. 1902 wurde er in den Adelsstand erhoben. 1905 wurde er in die Königliche Schwedische Akademie der Wissenschaften aufgenommen und 1909 wurde er zum Mitglied der Leopoldina gewählt. 1927 bis 1935 führte er die Chinesisch-Schwedische Expedition zur Erforschung der Mongolei und Chinesisch-Turkestans durch. Die wissenschaftlichen Ergebnisse wurden von Hedin und anderen Wissenschaftlern in über 50 Bänden veröffentlicht. Seine wissenschaftlichen Werke und populären Reisebücher enthalten eigene Fotografien, Aquarelle und Zeichnungen.
