Reliure fanée : coiffes et coins usés, deux coins enfonçés en pied, un mors fendillée en tête et en pied. Néanmoins solide exemplaire à l’intérieur frais.‎

‎Seconde édition du meilleur et du plus exhaustif des ouvrages sur l’artillerie publiés au XVIIIe siècle. Son auteur était le tacticien Pierre Surirey de Saint-Rémy (1645-1716). Sa démarche n’est pas celle d’un théoricien cherchant à imposer ses idées, mais celle d’un homme du sérail (donc incontestable au sein de l’Artillerie) souhaitant faire la synthèse des connaissances et des pratiques de son époque pour permettre à tous les officiers d’artillerie d’y avoir accès.
