(vers 1808) in-folio, titre, et 18 belles planches gravées à l'aquatinte et légendées en allemand, montées sur onglets, maroquin vert, dos à nerfs cloisonné et fleuronné, double encadrement de triple filet doré sur les plats avec vases en écoinçon, double filet doré sur les coupes, tranches dorées, encadrement de quadruple filet doré sur les contreplats (L. Lemardeley). Dos légèrement insolé.‎

‎Rarissime suite, l'une des seules à documenter les uniformes de la mythique Division de la Romana. Elle a été en effet prise sur le vif : Christian Suhr, citoyen de Hambourg, ville devenue, en raison du blocus continental, une pièce maîtresse du système de contrôle napoléonien, aimait à brosser, au jour le jour, des croquis de tous les genres de troupes stationnées dans sa ville entre 1806 et 1815. Parmi elles, figurèrent un moment l'unité commandée par Pedro Caro y Sureda, 3e marquis de La Romana (1761-1811), auquel Charles IV, dans son immense complaisance pour les demandes de Napoléon, avait confié en 1807 un corps destiné à renforcer l'armée française en Allemagne. La Romana fut donc nommé commandant de la "Division du Nord" et passa les années 1807 et 1808 en garnison à Hambourg, puis au Danemark, sous les ordres du maréchal Bernadotte. Quand la Guerre d'Espagne éclata, La Romana traça des plans pour rapatrier ses hommes en Espagne. Le fait que 9 000 de ses hommes sur un total de 14 000 furent capables d'embarquer sur des navires britanniques le 27 août 1808 et de s'échapper ainsi vers l'Espagne est à mettre principalement au crédit de son astuce et de ses talents d'organisation.
