Der Begriff �Betriebsamkeit� urspr�nglich in einem �konomischen Kontext angesiedelt erlangt als Chiffre f�r diese Komplexit�tszunahme prominente Bedeutung in der Literatur. Zeitgen�ssische Prosa-Texte die sowohl im schnelllebigen Medium Zeitung als auch in Buchform gedruckt werden entwickeln literarische Darstellungsverfahren in denen sich diese Betriebsamkeit niederschl�gt. An Texten f�r Buch und Zeitung von Martin Kessel Vicki Baum Franz Hessel Walter Benjamin und Siegfried Kracauer werden solche Darstellungsverfahren in dieser Studie untersucht.
