Paris Armand Guérinet n.d. ca. 1899. Contains a set of 110 original collotype plates numbered 206-315 printed on 43 single-sheet leaves. Each plate titled and captioned. Includes "Table des planches". Placed in a portfolio hardcover cloth backed marbled boards with ties large gilt lettering to spine small shelf label at foot bit tender. Plates are in general fine condition overall beautifully preserved. Now in pH-balanced acid-free Renaissance archival paper. ~ Third volume. A most beautiful set of plates. Collotype is one of the most accurate and attractive methods of photomechanical tonal printing processes. Highly skilled and expensive process it cannot produce more than a limited number of impressions. It has been used for single-sheet prints and luxury portfolios and since the 1950s has been abandoned by all except a few small specialist firms. Scacre. Paris, Armand Guérinet, n.d.
