‎o.J. Farbholzschnitt in Schwarz, Grau und Rot, 1930, auf dünnem Japan-Bütten, mit Bleistift signiert, bezeichnet und datiert ?H. Paule Capri 1930?. Darstellungsgröße 14,7:11,2 cm, Blattgröße 17,8:13,1 cm. - Am Oberrand auf Untersatz montiert, Papier dadurch etwas wellig.‎

‎Paule war 1897-1899 Schüler des Malers und Lebenreformers Karl Wilhelm Diefenbach () in dessen Künstlerfamilie auf dem Himmelhof bei Wien. Um 1900 ging er nach Capri, wo er zunächst, der Lebensauffassung seines Lehrers folgend, in einer Höhle lebte. Nach dem Eintritt Italiens in den 1. Weltkrieg wurde er nach Sardinien verbannt. 1924 kehrte er nach Capri zurück, wo er mit anderen auf Capri lebenden Künstlern wie Otto Sohn-Rethel (1877-1949), Raffaele Castello (1905-1969) und Walter Depas (2. Hälfte 20. Jhdt. auf Capri tätig) in Verbindung stand. Sein Werk, bestehend aus Landschaften und Personendarstellungen, ist einem spätexpressionistischen Stil verpflichtet. Besonders produktiv war er auf dem Gebiet des Holzschnitts.‎

‎Die Graphikerin und Holzschneiderin verlebte ihre Kindheit in Landsweg im Lungau. Dann absolvierte sie eine akademische Ausbildung. 1918 hielt sie sich in Linz auf. Nach ihrer Heirat mit dem Arzt Dr. Joseph (?) von Pausinger arbeitete sie in Lambach in Österreich. 1922 wurde sie Mitglied der Künstlervereinigung ?Maerz?. 1927 trat sie der damals in Österreich illegalen NSDAP bei. 1953 erhielt sie die Ehrenbürgerschaft der Gemeinde Lambach, 1956 Benennung einer Lambacher Straße nach Pausinger. Beides wurde ihr 2005/2006 aberkannt, da sie den Berliner Malerkollegen Gottfried Wingen (1889-1944), der ihr gegenüber Kritik am Regime geäußert hatte, denunzierte. Wingen wurde später im KZ ermordet.‎
