A 1942 Canadian special RAF edition of The Official Handbook of Present Conditions and Recent Progress produced for British RAF personnel serving in Canada during the war. It includes coloured illustrations photographs and a fold-out colour map with portraits of the King and Queen of England on the first pages. This copy is in superb pristine condition with clean crisp pages intact illustrations and an undamaged fold-out map. The red paperback binding shows minimal wear. Illustrated with a fold-out map two other full-page maps and numerous full-page illustrations. The illustrations are black and white photographs of the organizational board of the survey the venues of the celebration banquets including the New National Museum which is now the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and the tools used to conduct the survey. The Coastal Survey was conducted to assess the tides the topography and the geology of the Eastern Seaboard. A Very Good book with a few hints of wear to the boards.
