Edges and corners of binding worn, upper hinge cracked and repaired by amateur, spine faded and slightly chipped at head and tail, slight chipping to label, covers marked and slightly rubbed, 1 small scrape to lower cover, front inner paper hinge neatly repaired, bookplate of the school on front pastedown, frontispiece lightly foxed in the margins, engraved title page very lightly browned in margins, very occasional pale mark to margins of text, outer edge of first folding map slightly worn and lightly dusty and 2 short closed tears, small closed tear to inner edge of final large folding map and very small closed tear to inner edge of Netherlands map, all tears neatly repaired on reverse, one misfold to hand coloured panorama, all 34 etched plates lightly browned and foxed mainly to margins and to varying degrees, more heavily spotted on reverse.
