Die Abzüge nur gering stockig, sehr kontrastreich und frisch. Wolfstieg 3813; Caillet 2388. - Berühmtes Werk in erster Ausgabe, auch heute noch gesucht wegen seiner großartigen Stahlstiche. Bekanntlich trug dieses Buch seinem Autor die Verurteilung durch den Grand Orient de France ein, wegen Verrates freimaurerischer Geheimnisse wurde er zu einer Buße sowie zu einem zweijährigen Ausschluß verurteilt.
