"Ciò che si cela dietro al termine egizio Neter, un geroglifico dal significato oscuro rappresentato da un palo di legno attorno al quale è avvolto un lembo di stoffa che garrisce al vento, nasconde l'immagine che gli antichi avevano della divinità. L'etimologia del termine recita così: 'Egli è sepolto'. I mille volti degli dei, in realtà espressioni e manifestazioni di un unico creatore, contribuiscono a coprire il volto di colui il cui nome è sconosciuto. La conoscenza era custodita da pochi iniziati istruiti nelle Case della Vita e negli archivi di Eliopolis, la biblica On, Iwn (il Pilastro) per gli abitanti d'Egitto. Ben poco del loro Sapere è arrivato sino a noi. Possiamo solo intuirne l'ampiezza in possesso di questi enigmatici sacerdoti. In Iwn, si svilupparono le trame di una storia che affonda le proprie radici in una epoca dorata definita dagli antichi Sep Tepi, il Primo Tempo. I custodi del Segreto, gli Sesheta, giocavano con una immagine che è nascosta, Amon. Il mistero, Sheta, è nelle mani dell'Iniziato, Bes, a cui è stato rivelato. Gli scritti religiosi più antichi, arrivati integri nelle nostre mani, sono i Testi delle Piramidi. Questa composizione che, troviamo nelle piramidi costruite fra la V e la VII dinastia, propone un affresco di straordinaria potenza evocativa. Qui non abbiamo una sterile teologia piena di discorsi sul divino, ma una messa in mostra del suo agire supremo. Nonostante la scomparsa della grande civiltà faraonica, quel messaggio resta vivo; nascondendo fra gli antichi simboli, i frammenti di una verità che attende solo di essere compresa e rivelata".
