La conquista del territorio de los astures por Roma y la administraci�n del mismo en los a�os del cambio de era nos ayuda a comprender el proceso de integraci�n de dichas poblaciones en las formas de vida romana. Como elemento esencial de dicho fen�meno nos encontramos con los aspectos econ�micos y m�s en concreto con el aprovechamiento de los yacimientos aur�feros cuyos antecedentes se remontan a los tiempos prerromanos. Seg�n avanzamos en el siglo I de nuestra era los romanos acelerar�n dicho proceso constituyendo tal vez la �poca de Claudio el primer momento de aplicaci�n completa de los mecanismos t�cnicos en el campo minero.Con estos antecedentes los romanos explotar�an sobre todo el aluvi�n correspondiente a los yacimientos secundarios miner�a a cielo abierto mediante el sistema de la fuerza hidr�ulica dado que sus conocimientos t�cnicos apenas permitir�an la pr�ctica de la miner�a de interior. Asistiremos a ciertos cambios en el poblamiento cuyos elementos arquitect�nicos principales ser�n respetados al tiempo que surgen nuevas formas de h�bitat vinculadas al trabajo en las cortas.La regulaci�n administrativa romana de las minas derivaba de la propiedad imperial de los distritos por lo que sus delegados procuratores metallorum y beneficiarios ser�an los encargados de dirigir no solo la explotaci�n sino tambi�n la conservaci�n y salida en direcci�n a la capital del Imperio. LA HISTORIA ANTIGUA DEL CONCEJO DE ALLANDE en especial los dos siglos antes de nuestra era y las dos centurias primeras de la misma ofrece unas caracter�sticas que aunque resultan comunes a los territorios que lo circundan configuran una singularidad en el �mbito del Noroeste peninsular. En este sentido la etapa previa a la presencia de los romanos con su poblamiento t�pico los recintos castre�os cuya vigencia se prolongar� a lo largo del Alto Imperio configura un tipo de organizaci�n en el marco de las comunidades astures que la administraci�n romana transformar� al menos en parte.Eso significa que a la conquista del suelo seguir� la implantaci�n de unos par�metros de organizaci�n del mismo por parte del Estado romano para pasar a continuaci�n a la explotaci�n de sus recursos completando de esta manera el proceso de colonizaci�n de la zona.Aunque desconocemos hasta la fecha la implicaci�n de este territorio en los enfrentamientos b�licos entre ind�genas y romanos sin duda el inter�s puesto de manifiesto por la administraci�n romana con relaci�n a los distritos mineros redundar�a en una serie de cambios sustanciales en la organizaci�n de sus pobladores los p�sicos.De esta manera los castros permanecen como centros de poblaci�n aunque resuelvan algunos problemas arquitect�nicos como la soluci�n de las esquinas al tiempo que los caminos de comunicaci�n los pondr�n en contacto con las cortas mineras correspondientes facilitando de esta manera el acceso de la mano de obra ind�gena a los mismos.Se pueden trazar as� cuatro v�as de comunicaci�n de tiempos romanos en suelo alland�s que en parte seguir�an el recorrido correspondiente a las corrientes fluviales m�s significativas la de Cangas del Narcea a la Pola por el valle del Arganza y sus afluentes; la v�a de Pola a Grandas de Salime o v�a del Puerto del Palo; la v�a del r�o del Oro y del Valledor; y la v�a de Berducedo a Bustantigo.A pesar de las similitudes que nos presentan en muchos casos cada una de ellas ofrece sus peculiaridades con respecto a aspectos tan significativos como la producci�n en kilogramos de oro; la cronolog�a de los aprovechamientos; la heterogeneidad de la mano de obra utilizada en las actividades mineras as� como en cuanto al poblamiento junto a los castros remodelados o no tendejones o barracones de madera de car�cter temporal; la administraci�n romana de las explotaciones centralizada desde el erario imperial; la salida del oro en direcci�n a la capital del Imperio; el r�gimen alimenticio; el impacto ambiental; los cambios en la organizaci�n ind�gena a consecuencia de su participaci�n en dichas tareas.Narciso Santos Yanguas natural de A�e Segovia donde naci� en 1949 simultanea estudios de Filolog�a Cl�sica e Historia especialidad Historia Antigua en las Facultades de Filolog�a y Geograf�a e Historia de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid donde se licencia en ambas especialidades en 1972.Desde 1973 es docente de la Universidad de Oviedo obteniendo la Plaza de Profesor Adjunto de Historia Antigua en 1978 y la de Catedr�tico de Historia Antigua Universal y de Espa�a en marzo de 1990.Inmediatamente despu�s de la lectura de su Tesis doctoral Los pueblos exteriores al Imperio romano en Amiano Marcelino en marzo de 1975 su dedicaci�n preferente ha estado centrada en el an�lisis de la organizaci�n de las poblaciones prerromanas astures as� como del proceso de integraci�n y/o rechazo que se opera en el marco de dichas comunidades al contacto con el mundo romano.En ese contexto obtendr� desde 1989 a 1992 y desde 1996 a 1999 Proyectos de investigaci�n financiados por el Vicerrectorado de Investigaci�n de la Universidad de Oviedo para el estudio de las v�as de comunicaci�n el poblamiento castre�o y la miner�a aur�fera de distintos concejos del Suroccidente asturiano. Igualmente desempe�a durante 10 a�os de 1987 a 1996 la Direcci�n de Cursos de verano de la Universidad de Oviedo en la capital del concejo as� como otros 60 en Gij�n Tapia de Casariego Astorga Luarca Luanco Vegadeo Campa Torres. Como resultado de ello ha salido a la luz casi un centenar de art�culos que versan sobre dicha tem�tica as� como los libros Asturias los astures y la cultura castre�a Ed.KRK Oviedo 2006 y Asturias los astures y la administraci�n romana durante el Alto imperio Ed.KRK Oviedo 2009.De manera especial el an�lisis de este proceso de romanizaci�n se ha centrado en el Suroccidente de Asturias donde no solo encontramos algunos ejemplos significativos de las transformaciones sociales desde el punto de vista de la organizaci�n pol�tico-administrativa de los astures sino tambi�n desde las nuevas perspectivas econ�micas que nos ofrece la dedicaci�n a las actividades mineras aur�feras ver Asturias los astures y la miner�a romana del oro Ed. KRK Oviedo 2011.Se contextualiza as� el estudio de la historia del concejo de Allande durante la Antig�edad tanto en su etapa prerromana como romana teniendo en cuenta que el trazado de los caminos romanos de comunicaci�n se convierten en el hilo de uni�n entre los asentamientos castre�os y los tajos y cortas mineras de la zona algo com�n al resto de concejos que le rodean que se hallan inmersos en el marco del fil�n esquistoso de oro del Noroeste peninsular y que ser�an explotados igualmente por la administraci�n romana. unknown
