Rubbing to extremities of book with one page with finger marks otherwise clean. Gayre or Gair was a proponent of pseudo scientific racism while he claimed to be Chief of 'Clan Gayre and Nigg' - his own invention and to which he changed his surname - though his works on heraldry are still considered valuable. . Georg Robert Gayre 1907-96 was a scottish antropologist with racist ideas and founder of â€The Mankind Quarterlyâ€. In â€Teuton and Slav on the Polish Frontier†he starts with the assumption that in human affairs "racial fundamentals are all-important". The book is essentially a recommendation for re-drawing Germany's national boundaries in order to "improve the racial homogeneity" of Germany so that according to Gayre "Germany would become considerably more Nordic". hardcover
