‎The Duke's Double‎

‎Once upon a time, beautiful Joanna Sherwood, the Countess of Carew, had been wildly, helplessly in love with Adrian Delacourt, the darkly handsome, devastatingly charming Duke of Roxbury. That was before she married Adrian. That was before he showed his true colors when he accused her of unfaithfulness and dragged her name through the mud of public scandal. That was before she fled to Italy with Adrian's best friend, Gareth Sherwood, who rescued her from the total ruin of her divorce by making her his wife. Now Joanna had returned to England as a ravishing young widow--only to find nothing had changed.Unfair scandal still shrouded her name--and impossible love still burned in her heart. Book‎

‎Moore, Margaret‎

‎Highland Rogue, London Miss‎

‎Quintus MacLachlann is arrogant - unapologetically so. When he's asked to impersonate one half of a married couple to infiltrate Edinburgh society, he relishes the challenge of being "married" to the frustratingly willful yet beautiful Esme. Esme makes no bones about her fervent dislike of the dishonored rake. He's the last person on earth she can conceive of marrying, sham or otherwise. But being forced to play wife to the handsome-as-sin wastrel brings up very real feelings of desire.. Book‎

‎A Perfect Match‎

‎(Masquerade, No. 66) he was to become Lady Windlow...But Miss Louisa Parke was not at all pleased by the prospect - despite the fact that Lord Windlow was one of the most handsome and eligible bachelors in London. Maybe if she'd had some say in the matter, thought Louisa, she'd have felt differently. But she had not. The rigid rules of Regency England dictated that she and Lord Windlow marry...all because an innocent set of circumstances had caused him to compromise her. Silently Louisa swore she'd make Lord Windlow regret that compromise! Ex-Library‎

‎An Elegant Madness: High Society in Regency England‎

‎Between 1788 and 1820, under the reckless influence of the fat, promiscuous Prince Regent, the English aristocracy set a standard of elegance and vulgarity that has not been surpassed. Venetia Murray chronicles the daily life of that glittering circle of rakes and dandies, duchesses and courtesans, pugilists and patrons, whose scandalous conduct will entertain readers of social history and Regency romances alike, plus the new generation of Jane Austen addicts. Against a backdrop of artistic triumphs and industrial progress, working-class riots and the twenty-year war with France, Venetia Murray's sparking narrative is lavishly illustrated through rare contemporary cartoons, prints, diaries, and caricatures--some newly discovered and never before reproduced. "An Elegant Madness" is a book of airy delights and surprising depths that reveals a fabled age in all of its varied splendor. xvii, 316 p.28 b/w plates bibliography, index Bookplate on ffep else Near Fine Book‎
