The Counterfeit Marriage
New York: Signet 1980. First printing. Paperback. Good . Enchantingly beautiful Catherine Renwick had good cause to despise darkly handsome insufferably arrogant James Pembroke Earl of Allandale. It was this deplorable man who on a night of wild debauchery caused Catherine to be abducted and brought to him at a country inn. It was he who took her virtue by force and left her threatened with disgrace. True he now was willing to make amends by giving her his name in marriage. And equally true she had no choice but to accept. But Catherine was sure that nothing in the world could erase her hatred for him or her horror of his embrace. Catherine was an innocent no longer - yet she had so much to learn about love and the maddening deceptions of the heart. Book is in good condition with moderate edge wear rubbing along the spine and at the corners. Spine is slightly cocked. Pages are lightly tanned. A price was marked in on the front cover and then an attempt was made to erase it. The picture is a scan of the actual book so you can see for yourself. Signet paperback

Someday Soon
Regally beautiful, Lady Alexandra Wilton has refused to wed without love. She will not compromise--until her father dies and his shocking will reveals that Alexandra will lose everything unless she marries his heir. Much to everyone's surprise, the next earl is an upstart, a fiery Highlander just as outraged at the prospect of wedding a frosty Englishwoman as Alexandra is at the very idea of bedding him. But for this romantic lady, the unexpected is about to happen...an explosive meeting of two strong-willed forces that will change everything she believes about desire and her own heart. Book

White Horses
anuary 1813 - the British army is preparing to cross the Pyrenees and advance against Napoleon's army. Only one thing stands in the way- funds. It will take two people masquerading as lovers to carry out a dangerous plan . . . Despite inheriting the traveling Cirque Equestre, France's proudest equestrian tradition , Gabrielle Rochon has no loyalty to the emperor who destroyed her family's way of life. Independent and headstrong, she pledges to help the British army, knowing her late father would have done the same. But her mission to smuggle gold across France within the cirque to the Duke of Wellington's headquarters in Spain is one the British won't let her do alone. Colonel Leo Branford - an arrogant, striking foreigner - is ordered to play the part of her husband so that he may escort the gold without arousing enemy suspicions. While Gabrielle is annoyed that she must publicly bow to his every whim, the danger of the mission binds them in a disturbingly intimate way. With French troops precariously close to uncovering their charade, it is imperative that neither of them forget their purpose . . . or themselves" Book
