Bound in fine tree-calf leather bindings red and light green leather spine labels lettered and numbered in gilt with gilt decorations to spines. Publishers binding is by Foyle of London. White endpapers. Pale yellow page edging. A superb set. In very good condition. Some minor rubbing to spines and ends Corners are slightly bumped. Bindings are nice & tight. Boards are lovely and bright showing stunning “Tree-Calf” pattern. But a couple of small handling marks and surface chips/scuffs to boards. Vol.1 has repaired crack to front hinge. Inside page very clean; Some minor light foxing spots to a few pages one minor tear to edge of p318 in vol.6. Else overall inside pages all very clean bright and tight throughout. The maps are both clean and bright no marks or tears. Endpapers have a couple of small penned shelf codes; “D.7.3 / K.3.II.” etc. Else all very clean and tight copies. A stunning set. 6 vols.
