De impact van de Tweede Wereldoorlog in Belgi� dat van 23 tot 27 oktober 1995 te Brussel werd georganiseerd.De hier verzamelde essays maken vooral duidelijk hoezeer een strakke tegenstelling tussen "goed" en "fout" - hoe overzichtelijk die achteraf ook is gebleken voor zowel de historische interpretatie als de ethische duiding van de oorlogsjaren - fundamenteel ontoereikend is om de complexiteit en de ambigu�teiten van het literaire leven onder de Duitse bezetting nauwgezet in kaart te brengen.
