Joseph Cornell raduna nelle sue scatole oggetti che raccoglie per le strade di New York. Incontriamo il mondo in una teca, l'universo in una cripta. E scopriamo che la cripta è spalancata, il chiuso è la massima intensità dell'aperto. Masashi Echigo crea imprecisi montaggi di pezzi di scooter. Nessuna plasticità in quei rottami di plastica. Plasmare è impossibile. Tutt'al più comporre, accogliere forme già date, convocare vite precedenti di oggetti estranei. Robin Meier lascia che uno sciame di lucciole prenda a pulsare all'unisono con una manciata di led sparsi nel buio di una foresta. Il naturale e l'artificiale scivolano l'uno nell'altro, condotti per mano dalle intermittenze di un software. Che una simile ipnosi informatica spieghi quella costante telepatia comunicativa in cui viviamo? Siamo noi, quelle luci e quelle lucciole?

Vittoria dovuta anche ai Comitati Civici, fondati e organizzati da Luigi Gedda per sostenere la «crociata anticomunista»; essi divennero il motore di una macchina propagandistica che investì con le sue parole d'ordine, i suoi slogan, il suo attivismo politico l'intero Paese divenendo quella «voce di Dio» in grado di guidare le masse italiane, appena riemerse dalle macerie materiali della guerra e da quelle morali della dittatura fascista, verso un approdo non solo conservatore ma anche, nella sua misura ideologica, «integrista».

He was influenced by the Marxian economic theory Darwinian evolutionary theory and by what he learned while attending school and participating in fieldwork. When White got out of the Navy he went to Louisiana State University then to Columbia University and lastly to the University of Chicago. He received a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree in Psychology from Columbia University and a Ph. D. in Sociology from the University of Chicago. Early on White did fieldwork in the American southwest with the Keresan Pueblo Indians. He then taught at the University of Michigan. Throughout his life White was interested in general evolution. He strongly supported the ideas of the 19th-century writers Herbert Spencer Lewis H. Morgan and Edward Tylor. He adopted many of their ideas and gave them a fresh approach. He is known for developing the term "culturology". White coined this term because he believed that cultures should not be explained in terms of psychology biology or physiology but rather in its own category.
