A translation of DIE MORGENR�TE 1881 the fourth of Nietzche's "aphoristic" works it is a meditation on a vast number of subjects 575 to be exact including good and evil morality and convention tragedy and music the pride and prejudice of the intellect the death of Christianity pseudo-altruism and the value of selfishness many of them themes which he amplifies in his later writings. To everything the test of truth is applied and no subject is too sacred and no ideal too lofty to come under criticism. Nietzsche tells the reader in his preface "In this book we meet with one who works in the bowels of the earth boring mining undermining" driven by "something incomprehensible hidden mysterious knowing that in the end he will have his own morning his own deliverance his own dawn of day." The original German edition bore the subtitle "Thoughts on the Prejudices of Morality" and the book focuses its attack on Christian morality which he concludes is anti-life and vindictive among other things. Al di là del bene e del male

L'opera è divisa in nove capitoli: "Dei pregiudizi dei filosofi", "Dello spirito libero", "Della mania religiosa", "Aforismi e interludi", "Per la storia naturale della morale", "Noi dotti", "Le nostre virtù", "Popoli e patrie", "Che cos'è aristocratico?", chiude l'opera un epodo "Dall'alto dei monti". Nell'opera N. afferma che il problema morale è più essenziale di quello teologico. Per eliminare il pregiudizio della morale è necessario un nuovo indirizzo di cultura e a tal fine si potranno impiegare gli "spiriti liberi", immuni da quel pregiudizio. Conclusione delle tendenze dell'Europa democratica sarà una schiavitù imposta da una forte razza e la futura aristocrazia dominatrice potrà nascere solo da una lunga disciplina.

br. «Al di là del bene e del male», oltre cioè le convenzioni e gli abiti della morale tradizionale, non c'è un nuovo sistema rituale e men che meno una "religione dell'estetica" che si sostituirebbe alla morale religiosa e filosofica tradizionali. C'è, al contrario, uno spazio di libertà illimitato che ha in Dioniso - il dio della musica, della danza e dell'eccedere la norma - il proprio nume tutelare... Al di là del bene e del male contiene un continuo dialogo con il proprio tempo e con quelli passati (e senza dubbio anche con quelli a venire). Un aspetto talvolta palese talaltra implicito, ma comunque tale da saltare all'occhio anche del lettore meno attrezzato. Introduzione Massimo Baldi.

Così parlò Zarathustra
brossura Opera filosofica e poetica composta tra il 1883 e il 1885. In quest'opera le idee del "superuomo" e dell'"eterno ritorno" raggiungono una forma compiuta. Dopo dieci anni di solitudine Zarathustra sente il bisogno di donare agli uomini la sua sapienza, ma il popolo distratto ride delle sue parole. Dovrà così cercarsi dei discepoli cui indirizzare i suoi discorsi. Tema dei discorsi è la ribellione alla cultura e alla morale dominanti e la visione della vita come forza indomabile e della volontà come strumento di affermazione. Agli elementi polemici sono inframmezzati brani poetici (canti e canzoni) di grande bellezza. Molteplici le fonti stilistiche, la Bibbia, le poesie di Goethe, la prosa di Lutero, gli aforismi dei moralisti francesi.
