L'individualità dei corpi. Percorsi nell'Etica di Spinoza
br. L'Etica di Spinoza è attraversata dalla tensione tra la centralità riconosciuta al corpo sul piano teorico e la sua marginalizzazione sul piano testuale. Da un lato la mente è inseparabile dal corpo, e l'uomo è l'inscindibile unità di entrambi. Dall'altro, il fine dell'opera è quello di indicare al lettore la strada che conduce a una libertà e a una felicità che sono innanzitutto "della mente", e questo punto di fuga impone a tutta l'argomentazione una prospettiva prevalentemente mentale, nella quale la presenza del corpo si dirada, si fa più rapsodica e defilata. Accogliendo la sfida interpretativa lanciata da questo gioco di presenze e di assenze, il presente lavoro ripercorre con acribia i riferimenti alla corporeità disseminati lungo tutto il testo, rilegge le pagine più celebri a partire dai luoghi più marginali, restaura la rete di connessioni entro la quale i dettagli apparentemente più insignificanti manifestano invece il loro valore propriamente sistematico. Attraverso un percorso che parte dalla fisica dei corpi complessi e arriva fino all'amore intellettuale di Dio, e costeggia temi classici quali immaginazione, desiderio e virtù ma si sofferma soprattutto su figure periferiche come quelle del sonnambulismo, del delirio, dell'amnesia, l'autore ripristina la centralità del corpo in alcuni degli snodi fondamentali dell'ontologia, dell'epistemologia e dell'etica spinoziane.

br. Con la morte di Sciascia, Bufalino e Consolo, molti sostengono che la letteratura siciliana sia finita. Ed è certamente vero, se pensiamo a una serie illustre di scrittori, tra i più bei nomi della letteratura dell'Italia unita. Se Sciascia, Bufalino e Consolo vanno annoverati ai vertici nel canone italiano di secondo Novecento, può essere utile, allora, raccogliere qui tre ampi studi dedicati ad alcune loro opere: dall'"Affaire Moro" di Sciascia, alle antologie realizzate o progettate da Bufalino, a "Retablo" di Consolo. Con la fiducia che parlare di questi tre argomenti voglia dire anche parlare d'altro: di un grande e controverso uomo politico come Aldo Moro, di un'idea di letteratura come chiave per interpretare il mondo, dei fecondi interscambi tra scrittura e arti visive. L'autore, dal canto suo, mentre tributa ancora un omaggio a questi tre grandi autori, è sicuro che la letteratura in Sicilia non sia affatto finita ma stia, invece, cambiando volto: in linea con i mutamenti della letteratura mondiale, e non su posizioni di retroguardia.
