This is a very good x-library copy in the original olive green bevelled cloth boards, elaborately decorated with an architectural scene in black and gilt. Library book plate on endpaper. Small faint handstamp to top right corner of all the plates. Preface and 43 pages of text and 5 pages of plate titles and descriptions + 30 full-page lithograph plates in black & white. The plates include full-page elevations, plans, and interior views of the panelling, fenestration, staircases, etc. All the mansions illustrated are large scale grand buildings in the Queen Anne, and other well known European styles:Jacobean, Louis XVI, Adams style, etc. The book has a new cloth spine, with a white printed paper title label on the spine. Inside the blue endpapers and many of the pages are chipped around the edges, but the binding is very tight. Paper tape repair to hinges. Page-edges gilt. 15" high X 10 1/2" wide. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking.

They related to the lithographs Pueblo and Veronica; De Soto editions nos. 9 and 10 Adja Yunkers 1900-1983 was an American abstract painter and printmaker. He was born in Riga Governorate of Livonia Russian Empire in 1900. He studied art in Leningrad Berlin Paris and London. He lived in Paris for 14 years and then moved to Stockholm in 1939. In Stockholm he published and edited the arts magazines ARS magazine and Creation magazine. In 1947 he moved to the United States where he lived for the rest of his life. He held a teaching position at the New School for Social Research in New York while summers were spent teaching at the University of New Mexico.1 In 1949 he received a Guggenheim Fellowship. During the 1950s he primarily worked in color woodcuts introducing brushwork into the genre. In 1960 he began producing lithographs. He produced two important series of lithographs at the Tamarind Lithography Workshop in Los Angeles Salt five lithographs and Skies of Venice ten lithographs. Yunkers died in New York City in 1983. Muovendo dal decostruzionismo di Derrida e dall'ermeneutica di Ricoeur e sulla base della sua esperienza di uomo politico, Vattimo si è interrogato sulla possibilità di parlare ancora di imperativi morali, di diritti individuali e di libertà politica, e ha proposto la filosofia di un pensiero debole che mostra come i valori morali possono esistere senza essere garantiti da un'autorità esterna. La sua interpretazione secolarizzante scandisce elementi antimetafisici e pone la filosofia in relazione con la cultura postmoderna.
