Een gebed van licht en kleur uit de voormalige kerk van de cisterciënzerinnenabdij van Herkenrode: de zeven glasramen uit de Lady Chapel van de kathedraal van Lichfield. In 1802 werden de glasramen uit de voormalige kerk van de cisterciënzerinnenabdij van Herkenrode verkocht aan sir Brooke Boothly. Hij verkocht ze op zijn beurt aan de anglicaanse kathedraal van Lichfield. In 1803 werden een aantal van de panelen hersteld en samengepuzzeld tot de zeven glasramen die in de Lady Chapel van de kathedraal van Lichfield werden geplaatst. Van het resterend glaswerk werd een gedeelte verder verkocht en de resterende panelen hield men voor eventuele herstellingen. Dit verklaart waarom er naast de ramen in de kathedraal van Lichfield er nog stukken terug te vinden zijn in andere kerken in Groot-Brittannië. Twee panelen van de glasramen zijn in 1976 teruggeschonken door Lichfield aan Herkenrode. In dit boek komt deze geschiedenis uitgebreid aan bod en worden deze glasramen beschreven: wie of wat erin wordt afgebeeld, de datering, de toestand van bewaring en de gebruikte techniek om de ramen te vervaardigen kan u hier allemaal in terugvinden
