(Geringe Gebrauchsspuren). 29x24 cm‎ ‎* Kurt Dübbers (* 28. Oktober 1905 in Düsseldorf; ? 24. August 1987 in Berlin) war ein deutscher Architekt und Hochschullehrer. Nachdem Kurt Dübbers sein Studium der Architektur 1931 mit dem Diplom-Ingenieur abgeschlossen hatte, arbeitete er als Assistent und Mitarbeiter von Paul Bonatz an der Technischen Hochschule Stuttgart. Bis 1942 betätigte er sich auch als freier Architekt, es entstanden, oft in Zusammenarbeit mit Bonatz, dessen Tochter Suzanne er geheiratet hatte, einige Privathäuser sowie Typenentwürfe für Zweckbauten der Reichsautobahn. 1942 wurde er von Adolf Hitler zum ordentlichen Professor für Baugestaltung an der Fakultät II A für Architektur der Technischen Hochschule Berlin ernannt. Zwischen 1952 und 1958 war er Rektor bzw. Prorektor der nunmehrigen TU Berlin. Von 1970 bis zu seiner Emeritierung 1971 war er Direktor des Instituts für Theaterbau im Fachbereich 8 für Bauplanung und -fertigung der TU Berlin. Von 1968 bis 1977 führte er gemeinsam mit Friedrich Wilhelm Krahe (1929?2019) das Ingenieur-Architektur-Büro Dübbers-Krahe. Sein Nachlass befindet sich im Bestand des Architekturmuseums der TU. Previous studies have tended to turn on the question of how accurately these models represent the buildings they were intended to portray. But the donors' model cannot be explained exclusively by comparison with its built equivalent. The sculptors, goldsmiths, minters, mosaicists, painters, weavers and sealmakers who created these little buildings were not always aiming to produce a straightforward likeness of the edifice in question but rather to represent its significance. The donor's model could underline the function or symbolic importance of a building or be an expression of support for a particular ruler. It could document real or fictive family ties, validate a patron's position or enhance his prestige. It could operate as a policy statement by lords temporal and spiritual, be deployed as a weapon in ecclesiastical rivalries, or serve as a visual charter to underpin the lawfulness and legality of gifted privileges, properties and possessions. The interdisciplinary study carried out during its restoration at the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage (KIK-IRPA) in Brussels between 2012 and 2014 allowed to resolve some of the questions involved and to propose new refreshing hypotheses. The attribution to the Borman, the most prestigious Brussels sculptor family, was refined, as was its dating in the early 1530s, when the vocabulary of Italian Renaissance began to invade the art of the Meuse banks simultaneously with the still well-anchored Gothic style. This volume provides a broad platform for the exceptional character of the partial polychromy of the altarpiece, highlighted by the investigation conducted at the KIK-IRPA. This research was nourished by many comparative reflections. The abundant and varied studies presented here, mainly originate from an international conference held in October 2015. In addition, the restoration at KIK-IRPA, between 2016 and 2019, of some of the painted panels that initially adorned the shutters of the altarpiece, also allowed a beneficial reconsideration of the participation of the great Li ge painter Lambert Lombard and some local workshop.
