Het boek zal zeker zijn weg vinden bij wie ooit als werknemer betrokken was bij Cotoni re d Assebrouck (katoenspinnerij Dujardin, Nijverheidstraat Assebroek, 1847 - 1958), Tissage Saint-Croix (stoomweverij, weverij Van Overschelde-D?hooghe, Maalse Steenweg Sint-Kruis, 1920 - 1967) en de fusie met Union Cotoni re Bruges (Uco Brugge, Jacob Van Arteveldestraat Brugge, 1958-2010), in 2010 overgenomen door Yarns. Anderen weten dat hun ouders er graag hebben gewerkt. De auteur was er personeelschef van 1963 tot 2003 . Vanuit zijn herinneringen en vooral uit bronnenmateriaal wordt het bedrijf vanuit diverse hoeken belicht: technische uitleg bij katoenverwerking, de interne opleidingen, de kantine en verpleegdienst, de sociale verkiezingen en het sociale leven zoals de schaak- en voetbalclub. ‎<p>an 1865 Professionaly bound in Hubbed Quarter Leather Binding of "Transactions of the Exeter Diocesan Architectural Society" This came from an estate in Aiken South Carolina. This contains the Pedigree of the Gibbs family and the spine of the leather has this in gold gilt. The original wraps of the Transactions is intact internally. This contains lots of woodblock prints and black and white plates. Title page states that this is Volume 1 Part II Second Series. These were not intended for general publication but a copy was furnished to each member whose subscription was not in arrears. It contains The Parish of Clyt S. George Statue of S. Peter Annual Report June 12 1863 pedigree of the family Gibbs A paper on Powderham Castle mural decorations of the church of S. John Baptist quarterly report December 1863 Quarterly report October 6 1864 notes on the chuches of Jersey treasurers account. There is a bookplate on the inside of a Lewis Gibbs. There is no writing. There is some foxing to a few of the woodcuts. Some rub to the hubs on the spine. Points of the boards have rubs. A very nice collectors copy.</p> hardcover‎

‎Alex Streitberger (dir.), Lisbeth Decan et al.Staged bodies is gewijd aan de talrijke manieren waarop de kunstfotografie sinds 1970 het lichaam ensceneert. De interesse van de postmoderne cultuur voor bepaalde vormen van fictie, hybridisatie en simulatie, leidde tot ingrijpende veranderingen in de benadering van het lichaam. Dit laatste wordt niet langer gezien als een gesloten en stabiele entiteit, maar veeleer als een flexibel projectiescherm, dat toelaat om fundamentele vragen te stellen over representatie, identiteit en de relatie tussen de geslachten. In plaats van een onveranderlijk biologisch gegeven, is het lichaam voortaan een sociale constructie, die we moeten bekijken doorheen het prisma van diverse ensceneringen in bepaalde historische en culturele contexten. In de fotografie komt deze overgang van een natuurlijk en permanent lichaam naar een ideologisch bepaald en modelleerbaar lichaam neer op het loslaten van een documentaire benadering en het vervangen daarvan door een 'staged photography', een ge nsceneerde fotografie. Deze pretendeert niet langer dat ze de realiteit reproduceert, maar maakt ze tot theater en fictie.
