Ours is an ex-library copy with usual stamps and stickers. Book in FAIR condition Six colour plates; over fifty b&w drawings. The earliest record of a definite costume for children is about 1770 or 1775 - before than time children were dressed in exactly the same manner as their parents. A & C Black, London hardcover
