En vente au Bureau du Journal Amusant et du Petit Journal pour rire, Paris, s.d. (vers 1841) Chez Bauger, imprimerie d'Aubert, s.d. [1840-1841] 1 volume in-4 (33,5 x 26 cm), broché de 25 planches. Il n'y a pas de page de titre (ce qui est normal pour ce type d'album factice composé à l'époque. Couverture de papier gris avec premier plat imprimé "Album Comique par Gavarni" (avec adresse). Quelques planches avec rousseurs au verso seulement. Papier bien blanc (2 planches sur papier plus teinté). Ensemble frais. Couverture en bel état malgré quelques petites déchirures en marge sans conséquence. Grattage ancien (au moment de la mise en album sous couverture) pour masquer le numéro de la série. Les Fourberies de femmes en matière de sentiment a été publié peu après 1840 et les mois suivants en 2 séries (52 planches au total). Les séries lithographiques de Gavarni (Les Enfants terribles, Fourberies de femmes, etc) et ses dessins en font un observateur moqueur, parfois amer, de la société parisienne sous Louis-Philippe et le Second Empire. Il rejoint en cela les Goncourt, qui l'admiraient, et avec lesquels il était très lié. Il faut voir dans l'oeuvre dessinée (lithographiée) de Gavarni, le pendant de la Comédie hunaine de Balzac. Ces Fourberies de femmes nous donnent l'image saisissante de vérité de la grisette, la courtisane, la bourgeoise, la mariée, aussi et surtout l'enfer des hommes dupés, de ceux qui se battent pour emporter leur amour et leur vertu. Très bon exemplaire de cette suite de 25 lithographies.

Moda futurista. Eleganza e seduzione
br. "«Moda futurista» non si limita ad una ricostruzione storica della moda del futurismo, a raccontare o descrivere avvenimenti ed episodi collegati alle ardite creazioni sartoriali dell'avanguardia marinettiana. Attraverso la collazione a livello cronologico di manifesti teorici, di proclami, delle stroncature e di testi anche erotici e pruriginosi legati al vestiario futurista, affronta l'analisi del linguaggio letterario e comportamentale fondato su modelli e prototipi di abiti creati esclusivamente da stilisti e da artisti futuristi prestati al mondo della moda. Questa ricerca non verte né sull'aspetto decorativo dell'abito futurista, né sul suo linguaggio, e quindi sulle tendenze dello stile futurista, bensì sulla traduzione dell'uno nell'altro e viceversa, con il riconoscimento del fenomeno della moda del futurismo quale efficace sistema di significazione: un sistema di senso entro cui si producono le raffigurazioni culturali ed estetiche del corpo rivestito secondo i princìpi creativi del futurismo. L'abito futurista è descritto nei suoi dettagli artistici, tecnici e sartoriali, analizzato nel suo contesto e studiato per il suo potere di significazione simbolica, sociale, ideologica, creativa e al tempo stesso erotica. Per questo il vestito futurista è letto e interpretato in qualità di eccezionale strumento di comunicazione, di habitus, di dress code e di objet d'art diventato, al tempo stesso, uno speciale oggetto d'uso quotidiano."
