A legal opinion being rendered regarding the arrangements made by law to collect the monies from the toll authorities by banks and their guarantors for the New York State canal system specifically mentioning here the Buffalo and Tonawanda collections. Names mentioned are John L. Ganson noted as 'now deceased' and Thomas Brown; also Sweeney and Evans. The opinion delineates responsibilities of the banks and individuals who are the contract guarantors and cites precedence relating examples and giving the chronology of the case in hand.
