Comunque il mezzo piu' eccellente per misurare le superficie sia il goniometro munito di micrometro, il sig. Rensi per la pratica universale dei periti consiglia la Tavola pretoriana. Non approva pero' l'uso dell'ago magnetico per orientarla, ma invece vorrebbe s'adoperasse il cosi' detto punto sovrapposto... Misurata l'estensione orizzontale, conviene esaminare la profondita' del terreno adoperando percio' la trivella gallica, e consiglia il nostro autore di limitarsi in questa indagine al punto dal quale per la sua profondita' piu' non tornasse conto l'estraerla, a meno di una spesa esorbitante non ordinaria" (Biblioteca italiana ossia giornale di letteratura, scienze ed arti, p. 401 e ss.). Lo stato presente o sia la relazione della corte di Roma, già pubblicata dal cav. Lunadoro. Ora ritoccata, accresciuta, ed illustrata da Francescantonio Zaccaria...Parte prima (-seconda).
2 volumi in-12° (mm 156x81), pp. XI, (1), 327, (1); XXII, (2), 348. Legatura coeva in pergamena , titoli in oro su tassello ai dorsi, tagli spruzzati in rosso. La celebre opera di Gregorio Leti, apparsa per la prima volta a Roma nel 1674, non benevola illustrazione della corte pontificia in cui l'autore si cela sotto lo pseudonimo del Cavalier Lunadoro. Più volte riproposta anche nel secolo successivo, l'edizione che presentiamo è accresciuta da Francesco Antonio Zaccaria, e nella Parte seconda è inserito un capitolo dedicato alle funzioni e all'organizzazione del Tribunale dell'Agricoltura, "una speciale soprantendenza alle cause appartenenti ad animali, a pascoli, campagne, ed altre cose di simil fatta; ed a Persone impiegate in Campestri lavori" (pp. 326-327). Minime bruniture ma buon esemplare. A entrambi i frontespizi nota di possesso datata 1776 ‘Giambattista Motella' e timbro di antica collezione in inchiostro. . .

Edizione originale e unica di questo trattatello di aritmetica e geometria pratica che tocca le operazioni numeriche relative ai computi economici e di banco: Sommare scudi, Paoli, Baiocchi, moltiplicare per modo all'indietro, partire per scapezzo ecc. Seguono quesiti di vario genere: Cambio di Londra con Barcellona, Cambio di Venetia con Valenza ecc. Della societa' di bestiami, Della compagnia, Baratti ecc. Nella parte finale fornisce le istruzioni per trovare le radici quadrate e ricavare le misure di superfici di varie forme, altezze ecc. 'Raro...questa operetta non e' che un trattatello elementare di aritmetica e di geometria pratica. Trovansi citata dal Boncompagni nella dissertazione intorno ad un trattato d'aritmetica...'. Albrecht Meydenbauer (1834-1921), deutscher Bauingenieur und neben Aimé Laussedat der Begründer der Photogrammetrie, insbesondere der Architektur-Photogrammetrie. M. erreichte 1885 die Gründung der Messbild-Anstalt für Denkmal-Aufnahmen, die Staatliche Bildstelle Berlin. Diese war die erste photogrammetrisch arbeitende Dienststelle der Welt. M. schuf damit ein Denkmäler-Archiv, das noch heute als das größte fotogrammetrische Kulturgüterarchiv angesprochen wird.
