Corners and spine ends bumped with wear front hinge cracked and pulling away from binding a bit front free end paper has 6 inch tear running along gutter pages toned general wear along edges of boards and along spine. From the Preface: "This book is based upon a useful and now scarce little book entitled 'An Inquiry into the Nature and Form of the Books of the Ancients' by John Hannett.
