Inserendo lo spettatore in un circolo creativo, nel quale svolgono parte attiva le sue esperienze regresse e le sue costruzioni cognitive, l'opera filmica assume un valore dinamico e cerca, all'interno dell'atmosfera cinematografica, di stimolare un coinvolgimento creativo del fruitore. Analizzando, anche prettamente dal punto di vista della tecnica, i tre film della maturità di Michelangelo Antonioni si giunge a individuarne le caratteristiche intrinseche che ne esaltano l'interazione con lo spettatore e permettono l'individuazione di una complessa struttura espressiva che ne accentua l'attualità.

Na de onafhankelijkheid in 1830 liet de overheid in het kader van het economisch beleid de belangrijkste internationaal georienteerde spoorlijnen aanleggen. De private sector kreeg aanvankelijk de mogelijkheid om secundaire lijnen aan te leggen vanaf 1870 volgde een nationalisatie. Na de Eerste Wereldoorlog in een sterk gewijzigde economische context zocht men oplossingen voor de problemen van de spoorwegexploitatie. Dat resulteerde in de vorming van een autonoom overheidsbedrijf dat een meer commercieel beleid kon voeren investeringen op langere termijn kon plannen en een meer gerichte industriele politiek kon aannemen: de NMBS. De opkomst van andere transportmiddelen en dan vooral het wegverkeer plaatste de spoorwegen na de Tweede Wereldoorlog in een geheel nieuwe context. Door het recente dichtslibben van het wegverkeer en de aanleg van hogesnelheidslijnen openen zich evenwel nieuwe perspectieven voor de 21ste eeuw. <br>Het boek bestaat uit 5 delen. Het eerste deel schetst een algemene context de aanleg van spoorwegen in Europa en de evolutie van het transport in Belgie. De delen 2 en 3 geven een chronologisch overzicht van de spoorweggeschiedenis tijdens de 19de en de 20ste eeuw. In deel 4 worden enkele specifieke aspecten van het spoorwegbedrijf behandeld zoals sociaal-economische en organisatorische aspecten de investeringen de veiligheid de architectuur en de ontwikkeling van het rollend materieel. Een vijfde deel met een toekomstperspectief op de Belgische spoorwegen rondt het boek af. <br>33 auteurs professoren en specialisten werkten mee aan dit boek. Het beeldmateriaal is ronduit overweldigend en bevat een aantal nooit eerder getoonde documenten uit prive-collecties. Faits-divers getuigenissen randbemerkingen en verhelderende grafieken kregen hun eigen plaats. En zo krijgt de leek of spoorwegfanaat via een uiterst verzorgde vormgeving een indringend en toch wetenschappelijk onderbouwd beeld van 175 jaar Belgische spoorwegen en 75 jaar NMBS. <br> Leuven Universitaire Pers Leuven 2001 unknown
