The sexily suggestive image of the American supermodel one of the very first male supermodels who emerged in the 1990's is a more brazen variation of the ground-breaking Calvin Klein advertising campaign that was launched with Tom Hintnaus to great fanfare and controversy 1984 : Like Hintnaus before him Joel West is shown wearing nothing but CK briefs. His pose is what's different: He stares directly and invitingly at the viewer his legs spread wide open as if asking "Well what are you waiting for". The Tom Hintnaus ad shows the latter's eyes closed even seemingly asleep while sunbathing. Almost all of the subsequent CK ads do show the model staring at the viewer but not in the way West who sought a career as an actor does. Le vélin est une spécialité apparue à la fin du Moyen Âge. Les gravures imprimées sur vélin sont fort rares et de ce fait méconnues de beaucoup d'amateurs. Il ne doit pas être confondu avec le parchemin. Par analogie on a appelé papier vélin un papier très fin et très blanc inventé par Étienne Montgolfier en 1777, mais les deux ne doivent pas être confondus.

Archeologo dell'Istituto Internazionale di Studi Liguri dal 1956 responsabile del "gruppo ricerche" di Genova dal 1964 al 1976 anno in cui ha partecipato alla fondazione dell'Istituto di Storia della Cultura Materiale dopo quella della rivista "Archeologia Medievale" avvenuta nel 1974. Nell'Universit� di Genova � stato: iniziatore e responsabile a Scienze della Terra del laboratorio di Archeometria dal 1963 al 2000 laureato in Scienze Naturali nel 1967 docente di Giacimenti Minerari dal 1969 al 1982 docente del raggruppamento di Metodologie Archeologiche ad Architettura dal 1983 al 2000 e a Lettere dal 1993 al 2000 iniziatore e responsabile del laboratorio di Archeologia dell'Architettura dal 1990 al 2000 laureato honoris causa in Architettura nel 2001. Petit in-folio (225 X 322) demi-vélin ivoire, plats de papier dominoté, auteur, titre, lieu d'édition et date calligraphiés au dos en rouge et noir (reliure XVIIIe) ; A-Z4, Aa-Cc4 : 104 feuillets. A partir des figures des philosophes (page 64) il est donné un même numéro pour deux pages. Nombreuses restaurations aux premiers feuillets, l'encadrement architectural du portrait de l'auteur est masqué par un feuillet de doublure, marges du feuillet 43/44 rognées.
