COURS NATUREL. Avec le frontispice de Salvador Dali tiré à 15 ex. L'exemplaire de Roger Lacourière avec une seconde épreuve d'un premier état inconnu (1938).
Paris, Éditions du Sagittaire, 1938. Un volume in-8 carré (197 x 157 mm), 118 pages, couverture imprimée. Reliure : maroquin janséniste citron, dos lisse titré or, encadrement intérieur de maroquin citron orné de quadruples filets dorés, doublures et gardes de soie moirée bleue, tête dorée, non rogné, couverture et dos conservés, étui bordé (Louis Christy). Édition originale de ces poèmes : elle est dédiée à Nusch Éluard. Précieux exemplaire de Roger Lacourière, justifié HC, du tirage de SP sur vélin fort, comportant un envoi autographe signé de Paul Éluard sur le faux-titre à Roger Lacourière dont le nom a été soigneusement effacé mais encore aisément lisible. Il est accompagné en frontispice DE LA RARISSIME EAU-FORTE ORIGINALE DE SAVADOR DALI TIRÉE SUR CHINE réservée aux 5 premiers exemplaires sur Chine, signée par Dali dans la planche. L'épreuve est annotée « Bon à tirer » au crayon. L'exemplaire est enrichi d'UN ÉTAT SUPPLÉMENTAIRE DE LA GRAVURE tirée sur vélin fort. Il s’agit visiblement d’un tirage d’essai, probablement unique, avant la signature gravée et l'aciérage de la plaque, on y distingue une trace de doigt à l’angle inférieur gauche et des taches d'encre en coin inférieur droit faites à l’impression. Roger Lacourière imprimait à cette époque les gravures de Dali, mais également de Picasso, Miro et d'autres artistes surréalistes dont il était proche. Ne soyons pas étonnés qu'il ait donc demandé à Louis Christy de relier son exemplaire. Louis Christy, mort en 1940, était, nous le savons, l’un des relieurs attitrés des écrivains surréalistes, dont Éluard et Breton, ayant réalisé notamment des reliures d’après des maquettes de Georges Hugnet. On trouve aussi un second état sur Chine du feuillet de titre et, ajouté en tête, le prière d’insérer de l’ouvrage, monté sur onglet.

Exemplaire comprenant : QUATRE-VINGT BOIS ORIGINAUX DE JOAN MIRÓ, LA PLUPART EN COULEURS ET SOUVENT AVEC COLLAGES DE PAPIERS DÉCORÉS, REHAUSSÉS OU IMPRIMÉS. - UN IMPORTANT DESSIN ORIGINAL, SUR DOUBLE FEUILLET, EN 10 COULEURS AU CRAYON PASTEL, SIGNÉ ET DATÉ "9/11/58" à l'encre bleue et dédicacé en espagnol (dimensions 50 x 32 cm), monté en début d'ouvrage (Le certificat d'authenticité est joint). - Tirage unique à 130 exemplaires sur vélin pur chiffon des papeteries d’Arches. Tous les exemplaires sont signés par Miró à la justification. Celui-ci est l'un des 80 exemplaires numérotés de 27 à 106. Text in French by Paul Eluard. The edition is on Arches wove paper, printed by Lacourière, Paris, published by Gérald Cramer, Geneva, contained in a decorated full morocco binding, slipcase. The sheets completely untrimmed (Sheets: 320 by 250 mm 12 1/2 by 9 7/8in - overall: 348 by 275 by 52 mm 13 3/4 by 10 7/8 in.).
