DALI (Salvador).
Visages cachs. Roman.
Paris Stock 1973 In-8, broch, couverture illustre.

Dali…Dali…Dali…
New York: Harry N. Abrams Inc. Publishers 1974. The New Concise Nal Edition of this lavishly illustrated work by Salvador Dali. Quarto original pictorial wrappers with 98 illustrations in both black and white and color interspersed with text. Boldly signed and dated by Dali in thick felt tip purple marker on the verso of the front cover and the front free endpaper with his enormous signature and a large drawing of a flower “Dali 1975.†In near fine condition with creasing and rubbing. Text by Max Gérard. Introduction by Dr. Pierre Roumeguère. The infamous Surrealist in full colour and in his own words Picasso called Dali "an outboard motor that's always running." Dali thought himself a genius with a right to indulge in whatever lunacy popped into his head. Painter sculptor writer and film maker Salvador Dali 1904-1989 was one of the century's greatest exhibitionists and eccentrics -- and was rewarded with fierce controversy wherever he went. He was one of the first to apply the insights of Sigmund Freud and psychoanalysis to the art of painting. He brought extraordinary sensitivity imagination and concern for precision to bear upon submerged levels of consciousness. Harry N. Abrams, Inc., Publishers unknown
