The author uses the residential project "Casa Triana" House Triana to identify in it the formal and persistent elements that characterize all his projects and that reflect the strong influence of famous American architect Frank Lloyd Wright. El presente trabajo es un acercamiento a la obra seria y consistente del arquitecto Enrique Triana quien además ha sido profesor de muchas generaciones en los talleres de Diseño Arquitectónico de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia. El contenido expresivo se considera como la síntesis de las influencias que han sido asimiladas y filtradas por los sistemas de valores personal disciplinar y profesional- hasta llegar a decantar en constantes expresivas; estas constantes se manifiestan a través de actitudes ante la vida criterios de composición y elementos arquitectónicos concretos. Rabbi Stanley Rabinowitz was a spiritual leader for presidents supreme court justices Israeli prime ministers and the Washington DC community for three decades. As the leader of the Adas Israel Congregation in Washington he was called upon by President Lyndon Johnson in the wake of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy to help craft the Thanksgiving Day address to the nation. A few years later he was called upon by President Jimmy Carter to assist with the Camp David Accords. Radical was the publication of the Radical Students' Society at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. According to an article on South African History Online "Conservative Revolutionaries: 'Anti-Apartheid Activism at the University of Cape Town 1963-1973' the group was formed in 1967 by Raiph Kaplinsky who while being mainly a Marxist intellectual nonetheless instigated a sit-in during the spring of 1968 involving hundreds of students and lasting nine days. Pirate adventure yarn adapted into a swashbuckling 1942 movie starring Tyrone Power and Maureen O'Hara. Although this copy was once part of the research library at Twentieth Century-Fox the studio that made the film there's no evidence to indicate that this particular book played any active role in its creation it was after all only "copy 3" -- but on the other hand I don't think it's at all unlikely that the book was at one time mere hundreds maybe only dozens of yards away from Tyrone Power and/or Maureen O'Hara. Rome: Giovanni Giacomo de Rossi 1670. First edition. Hardcover. Very good. Oblong folio of engravings. The first work has 43 numbered plates beginning with a dedication: "Eminentissimo ac reuerendissimo Principi Camillo Maximo S.R.E. Cardinali amplissimo." The 43 plates were engraved by Pietro Santo Bartoli and are complete. Bound with: "D. Nicolao Simonello picturae omiumque bonarum artium cultori eximio." 15 engraved plates complete. Bound with: "Serenissimo Principi Medices Leonis X admirandae virtutis imagines ab Hetruriae legatione ad Pontificatum a Raphaeli Urbinata ad vivum et ad miraculum expressas in Aulaeis Vaticanis." 15 engraved plates complete. The dedicatee of the first work Carlo Cardinal Massimo was created a cardinal in 1670; he died in 1677. This helps date the present work. The engravings are printed on one side only of each leaf. The leaves are bound along the left side in a contemporary or near contemporary binding of quarter leather gilt spine rules decorated paper boards. Edges corners and hinges are scuffed and worn small spine repair else this is very good with the engravings in fine condition. The engravings of each work are complete and rare thus.
