Revised Catholic Edition Vol. two.<br />.Although Jesus and His Times has had predominantly Protestant backing in American having gone through several best-seller editions in France and omits the imprimatur and uses the King James version for scriptural passages the author is a French Catholic scholar knighted by Pius XII for this very book. Daniel-Rops has used every bit of the exact knowledge of history and geography accumulated and investigated for centuries in this portrayal of Him about whom so many hear so much and know so little. To make Christ and His Times as vivid as one's own pastor and the issues which one reads in the evening news or talks about in phone conversations is no small achievement. Image Books paperback
