This book attends to the patterns of city life, listens to homely advice on how to live, and interprets the great tradition of medicine and metaphysics. La partie descriptive passe en revue le plan de la ville, les monuments, les moeurs, les loisirs, les institutions, les moyens de transport, la faune et la flore, etc. Cet ouvrage, publié originellement à Pékin en 1897 par l'Imprimerie des Lazaristes au Pé-t-ang, connut un grand succès et deux éditions françaises (1900 et 1902). tres bon etat
