‎At Long Last Love Original screenplay for the 1975 film signed by Bogdanovich‎

‎Los Angeles: Twentieth Century-Fox 1974. Revised First Draft script for the 1975 film. SIGNED by Bogdanovich on the title page. Directed and written for the screen by Peter Bogdanovich featuring a score that consists entirely of songs composed by Cole Porter and starring Burt Reynolds Cybill Shepherd and Madeline Kahn. The eclectic director's tribute to the musicals of Hollywood from the 1930s and 1940s which utilized an inventive style that involved non-professional actors singing their lines live rather than the very established use of overdubs. The reception to the film was so poor upon its release that Bogdanovich released a public apology for its quality; however over time its innate charm has made it beloved among many film fans and cinephiles. Red titled wrappers with a holograph notation of Copy No. 9 at the top right corner of the front wrapper and a date of June 3 1974 at the bottom right. Title page present stating REVISED FIRST DRAFT with a date of May 20 1974 credits for director-screenwriter Bogdanovich and composer Porter. 151 leaves mechanical duplication on eye-rest green stock. ‎The Man Who Fell to Earth Two original photographs of David Bowie promoting his appearance in the 1976 film‎

‎N.p.: RCA Records and Tapes 1975. Two preliminary RCA test photographs of David Bowie to promote his 1976 album "Station to Station" released here to promote his upcoming appearance in the 1976 film "The Man Who Fell to Earth." Mimeo snipes announcing "David Bowie to star in 'The Man Who Fell to Earth.'" from Bill Feeder of the marketing and advertising agency Rogers & Cowan Inc. dated 5-29-75 affixed to verso and folded over recto. One with Bowie's name and RCA Records and Tapes printed in bottom margin. Bowie's "Station to Station" 1976 his tenth studio album influenced heavily by funk and krautrock is a crucial transitional release and introduces Bowie's Thin White Duke persona. The album and the film were so intertwined that and image from one of the sets from the film Bowie stepping into his space pod is used for the album cover. Based on the 1963 novel by Walter Tevis. "The Man Who Fell to Earth" now viewed as one of the seminal science fiction films of the 1970s is one of the few films from that era that successfully transplanted a rock musician to a new context though certainly Bowie had been camera-ready for most of his career. Roeg managed to take the relatively straightforward novel by Walter Tevis and impose a wide array of new political and philosophical subtexts effectively making the film more similar than anything else to Heinlein's "Stranger in a Strange Land" wherein an alien from another planet comes to earth with a specific mission only to be overwhelmed with unexpected obstacles and distractions. In Roeg's interpretation Bowie arrives on earth determined to bring water to his dying home planet only to become addicted to alcohol and television and ultimately remains trapped due to his own limitations and the efforts of a paranoid government to prevent his return. 8 x 10 inches. One with slight even fading else Near Fine. Complete collation details available on request. Criterion Collection 304. RCA Records and Tapes unknown‎
