Deluxe working script belonging to uncredited crew member William Todd Mason with his name and phone number in holograph ink on the title page and some brief penciled annotations on three pages. Laid in is a corner stapled three page Staff and Crew list with two name additions in holograph red ink on the second page. <br/><br/>Included is a vintage studio still photograph from the film. <br/><br/>An early draft issued nearly two years prior to the film's October 1965 release with substantial differences from the finished film. <br/><br/>The sister film to "Dr. Strangelove" and in the eyes of many just as much a masterpiece of exquisitely wrought black humor. Made in the US but in a dense British-American style. Ostensibly a satire on the funeral business in which a young British poet winds up in a Hollywood cemetery as part of an inheritance arrangement-but in reality a satire of Hollywood itself as well as the Western malaise of the mid 1960s. <br/><br/>Script: Self wrappers presumably as this draft was issued. Housed in manilla folder noted as "LES TITANS" on the front. The king of Crete Cadmos Armendariz murders his wife so he can carry on an affair with lover Ermione Lualdi. They deal with the Devil and by way of mystical vapors become nearly invincible. Cadmos enslaves his own daughter and things get out of hand. Generally considered among the best of the Italian Peplum sword-and-sandal films showcasing both cyclopedian monsters and early elements of what would become known as Blaxploitation. Nassau Bahamas: McWhorter Productions 1968. Revised First Draft script for an unproduced film called "The Keep" adapted from Gwyn Thomas' 1962 play by Ray Jenkins. Bound in is an excised shooting schedule leaf on one side noting $7000 owed to Jean McDonald and the other side detailing production requirements for Ernest Lehman's 1972 film "Portnoy's Complaint" the film with Richard McWhorter as the Unit Production Manager. McWhorter operated his own production company very briefly with the company's Bahamas address on the title page. Thomas' play was adapted as an episode of "Festival" Season 1 Episode 28 and aired May 6 1964 starring Glyn Owen Eynon Evans and David Garfield. The story focuses on a family and their recollection of their mother who may or may not be deceased. This script then is likely a lengthening of the original television script for film development purposes. Red titled wrappers with die-cut window in the British style. Title page present dated August 19 1968 noted as REVISED SECOND DRAFT with credits for playwright Thomas and screenwriter Jenkins. 150 leaves with last page of text numbered 147. Raymond St. Ives Bronson is a novelist drawn back into the world of his former profession of crime reporting by wealthy Abner Procane Houseman. St. Ives is hired to locate stolen documents with ties to the local mob. Janet Whistler Bisset is an associate of Procane's accompanying St. Ives but her motives are vague. Published in France it was incredibly scandalous especially as it was published after France had exited World War I and the novel was proven later to be partly autobiographical. Two movies one in 1947 and another in 1986 were produced based on this book and despite being written this screenplay was never adapted for full production. <br/><br/>Thomas Thompson was a screenwriter best known for his extensive work writing and producing episodes of the television series "Bonanza" which ran from 1959 until 1969. <br/><br/>Set in France. <br/><br/>Brown untitled vinyl three-ring binder with logo of the Von-Young Agency printed on the front board.
