Moderate-to-heavy rubbing to cover extremities with corners frayed and just worn through to boards. Irregular splotchy faded areas to outer margins of front cover cloth; spine faded; 3"split to cloth at lower front gutter. Few small stains to rear board. Neat prior owner signature to front endpaper. Light erasure scars to two lines of Preface. Title page creased vertically alongside endpaper--appears to be manufacturer gluing defect.
