The Patchwork Girl had disappeared from the Capital; she escapes from Patch another one of the tiny kingdoms scattered throughout Oz. Of the original 12 full-color inserts 1 frontis 11 internal plates on glossy paper 2 are missing 2 are detached $ 2 are loose. The rest are lovely with some tanning/soil/spotting to some of the margins. Octavo 6.75" x 9.25" has "drab" green cloth-covered boards with a colored paper pastedown to front cover & black lettering & design to spine. Condition is Poor: heavy soil/bleached area to rear board tearing of cloth at front hinge fraying at both ends of spine corners heavily bumped with loss. Front pastedown has nicks & rubbed spots small area of sticker pull to top-fore edge side corner. Text block secure but shaky both hinges cracked & reglued.
