‎La traduction de la Bible en langue allemande par Luther, touche au plus près des textes grecs, contrairement aux traductions précédentes, calquées sur la Vulgate latine. Les apostilles, concordances et chronologies imprimées éclairent les passages difficilement traduisibles en allemand. Le théologien Abraham Kalau (Calov) né en 1612, décédé en 1686, auteur de l'introduction, fut le champion de l'orthodoxie luthérienne au XVIIe siècle. Il composa, entre autres oeuvres, un commentaire populaire de la Bible de Luther, connu sous le nom de Bible de Calov. Les cantiques et psaumes à la fin de cette édition sont l'oeuvre d'un autre théologien Luthérien, Johann Habermann (1516-1590). Il fut le premier à rendre ces textes accessibles à tous les croyants grâce à l'emploi d'une langue simple et claire; il fut aussi le premier à les classer selon les parties du jour. Ce texte, largement diffusé, traduit en anglais et en français, est encore utilisé à notre époque. Les imprimeurs-libraires, à l'origine de cette édition, exercèrent à Lunebourg sur plusieurs générations. L'un d'eux fut Bourgmestre de la ville; la famille Stern fut anoblie en 1655, elle possédait sa propre fonderie de caractères depuis 1634.‎

Mors du second plat fendu en partie supérieure sur 5cm et sur 1cm au premier plat avec léger manque de cuir à la coiffe, fragilité des mors en partie inférieure, coins un peu émoussés, intérieur en parfait état. Une planche a été restaurée dans un angle (restauration bien faite), ex-libris manuscrit en page de titre et annotation en page de garde masqués anciennement par un collage. Intérieur en parfait état. Les planches sont de belle qualité, grandes de marges. Planches du plus grand intérèt : Différentes formes de l'ascia (outil en forme de hache), costumes, coiffures, Bacchus, ceintures virginales, technique pour lancer des pierres énormes, différentes formes de clefs dont les Anciens se sont servis, vases de parfum, représentation du "Démon de midi" chez les Anciens. L'auteur, Dom Jacques Martin, Bénédictin érudit, est né à Fanjeaux (Haut Languedoc) en 1684, il est décédé à Paris en 1751. Il s'est particulièrement occupé de recherches sur les origines de la Gaule et des Celtes. Tous ses ouvrages sont fort estimés. Il a également découvert plusieurs opuscules de Saint-Augustin, Cf. ‎Summary In the last decade, biblical exegesis has gradually taken into consideration the so-called "spatial turn." However, the literary concept of space and its narrative analysis have found less interest than the study of space as a social and cultural phenomenon. This obvious gap in biblical research has become the impulse for the present work, dedicated to the book of Judith. Its aim is, on the one hand, to present the narrative analysis of space as a still-developing field in non-biblical literature and, on the other, to show how this promising approach can be developed in biblical studies. In particular, this monograph provides the narrative analysis and interpretation of space in the book of Judith in response. The first part of the study offers a synthetic overview of perceptions, concepts and theories of space from antiquity to contemporary research, and of the theoretical approaches to space in the Old Testament. The main part is dedicated to the analysis of space on the micro and macro levels of the Judith story through the application of Katrin Dennerlein's narratological theory of space. Thus, it can be demonstrated to what extent an in-depth analysis of the notion of space can contribute to better understand its thematic and symbolic dimension in the narrative, its function of characterising persons and actions, its role as a structuring element in the story and, last but not least, as a vehicle for an ideological and theological message.
